I’m Colin, a visually impaired artist from Detroit, Michigan, and I want to share my journey with you.

One day, I faced a unique challenge when I couldn’t find paint to create my artwork. But instead of giving up, I decided to think outside the box and found a new medium: duct tape.

Using colored duct tape, I started creating portraits of musical artists that I admired. To my surprise, the duct tape added a unique texture to my pieces, giving them a distinct and eye-catching look. Encouraged by this discovery, I expanded my portfolio to include portraits of people’s families and even their beloved pets.

What I love most about working with duct tape is the challenge it presents. I have to think ahead and plan my creations meticulously, considering the colors and textures of the tape. It’s a process that requires patience and creativity, but it’s incredibly rewarding when I see the final result.

Being on this platform is a dream come true for me. As a creator, I’m always looking for new and exciting ways to showcase my art, and this opportunity allows me to do just that. I hope that my artwork brings joy to others and inspires them to think outside the box in their own creative endeavors.
