I’ve always believed in my strengths, always told to be strong, and to stand my ground. When I think of being strong I see a warrior, someone who fights for their family and beliefs. That’s how I was raised, to stand strong, to be a strong independent woman. As a young woman raised by a single mom that’s how life was, independent. “Only the strong survive” that’s what my mother taught me and I live by it. I always saw myself as a warrior just like my mother. So painting one for her was easy, I just looked back on my childhood and how I would look at her; strong, independent, faithful, loving, a fighter, and a mother. That’s how my painting came to be, first drawing out my ideas for different warriors which turned into my paintings “She” and “The Warrior”. After realizing the gift I have and what I could do with my passion I continued, which then led to the collection I am working on now, beautiful women.

I usually stick to acrylic and charcoal, however I have been experimenting with gouache and digital art work.

There is no real category I would myself in, however I do a lot of abstract , realism, and portraits.
